May is Bike Safety & Trail month! Get ready to roll by joining us for this two-part program.

Ellen Zadoff of the Chester County Cycling Coalition will lead us through a program on bicycle safety and maintenance. Then, next week join us for an informative trail ride. This program is intended for new cyclists, but all are welcome!

Part 1 will take place on Saturday, April 19th from 2 to 4 PM. Participants are encouraged to bring their bikes, tire levers, and air pumps (if they have them!). Ellen will teach us how to change a tire, lube a chain, make seat adjustments for a proper fit, and help us make sure breaks are in working order. This event will take place outside at the library or in Struble if we have rain.

Part 2 will take place (offsite) on Saturday, April 26th at 2 PM. Join us for a trail ride to learn basic shifting, braking techniques and safety. IT'S BYOB - bring your own bike! Just make sure it's in a good working order (no time for maintenance will be made during this session). Helmets are mandatory. We'll meet at the Chester Valley Trail at 2 PM. For this session, youth under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.

An amazing book. I finished this book in less than 24 hours and could not put it down. Fans of her work will not be disappointed. Her character descriptions are great and you feel the emotions right along with them. Even after finishing the book I found myself still thinking about the characters what had happened. I recommend you read winter sea and shadow horses before this one since some of the characters appear again.  Click here to see if this book is in our catalog!
