Would you like to learn more about the impact of pipelines in this region? Also, how will this impact your home value, ability to sell if necessary, and the potential for more pipes in Chester County? Please come to this event to learn more.

Scheduled to speak are Tom Casey, local concerned community leader, and members from the Sierra Club will be on hand to talk about the issues.

Pipelines and utility companies may wish to use private land to conduct their business. Typically, the pipeline or utility company will make a one-time payment for an easement across private property, either for construction, use, or both. Many pipelines and utility companies will make a land owner a low offer to use the land owner's property, hoping that the land owner does not understand that Pennsylvania has very specific laws valuing how much compensation a company must give the land owner. These laws often require much larger payments than companies may first offer. Many land owners also do not often understand existing easements on their property that many Pennsylvania land owners actually own the street in front of or beside their homes, and that many pipeline companies do not always have the power of eminent domain to take land. Land use attorneys help land owners value this valuation and help land owners maximize their recovery for the private company's use of their land, with most legal fees paid from the easement payments provided by the pipeline or utility.

This is a documentary about the 23 million Americans living in long-term recovery from alcohol and other addictions. Deeply entrenched social stigma and discrimination have kept recovery voices silent and faces hidden for decades. The moving story of The Anonymous People is told through the faces and voices of the leaders, volunteers, corporate executives, and celebrities who are laying it all on the line to save the lives of others just like them. This passionate new public recovery movement is fueling a changing conversation that aims to transform public opinion, and finally shift problematic policy toward lasting recovery. A discussion and question and answer period will follow the film. A great documentary that all the citizens of Chester County should see. This Program supports the PA Forward Health Literacy Initiative.

Learning to read begins long before children start school. Research shows that early childhood experiences have a great impact on a child’s ability to learn language and literacy skills. Children who grow up in a stimulating environment where parents and other caregivers talk and read to them are more likely to become fluent readers and eager learners.

Experts have identified five essential early literacy or pre-reading skills that children must know before they can actually learn to read. Learn how to develop these important skills through our Every Child Ready to Read: Workshop for Parents of Preschoolers.

Astonishingly perceptive and lyrical analysis of the screen, stage and TV star, well read by Joe Barrett. All of Fonda's films are discussed, including his iconic roles in "Young Mr. Lincoln," "The Grapes of Wrath," and "Mister Roberts."   Click here to see if this book is in our catalog!

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)
Author
Mindy Kaling
Review
I LOVE Mindy. She is the type of celebrity I would like to have as a friend. She always makes me laugh out loud. Her show is one of the highlights of my week. I enjoyed this book and laughed many times, but it was not as funny as I thought it would be. It is, however, completely enjoyable. I got to know more about her and her life. It is a quick read. I would love for her to write more.  Click here to see if this book is in our catalog!
