PIZZA PARTY!!!

Collect your rewards for reading this summer! Come to the Summer Reading Finale Party Tuesday, August 4 at 5:30 PM--free pizza and snacks for our Summer Readers. The Pizza Party is open to all kids who are signed up for the Be Creative @ Your Library Summer Reading Program here at the Oakmont Carnegie Library, their parents and siblings. We start serving pizza at 5:30, at 6:00 we'll watch a performance by a storyteller, then after the performance we will pass out goody bags to all the summer readers. You don't want to miss this event!

If you plan to attend the Finale Party, please sign up by Saturday, August 1 so that we can be sure to order enough pizza for everyone. You can sign up at the library, or by calling the library at 412-828-9532, or you can send an email to mcguirek@einetwork.net.

Review: My 5 year old daughter was reluctant about participating in the Summer Reading Program. She can read some Pre-K books but for the most part I still read to her. So we read a couple of books every night before bed and I have been logging those. Well, when she won one of the bonus prizes, she's more enthused and energized more than ever about reading! Thanks for the incentive!
